ANZAC OBSERVANCE
An Anzac Commemoration service was held in St Paul's Church of England on Tuesday evening. There was a large congregation, and the vicar, the Rev R E Saunders, preached an eloquent sermon. The offertory was in aid of the patriotic funds.
HORITCULTURAL SOCIETY
A meeting of the committee of the Linton Horticultural Society was held in the Shire Hall on Wednesday evening; Mr A J Smith presiding. The balance sheet of the autumn show was received and adopted. As a result the local branch of the Red Cross Society will benefit to the amount of £4/3/1. The thanks of the committee are due to all donors who contributed to the effort.
