RED CROSS SOCIETY
At he annual meeting of the Linton Red Cross Society (the president) Mrs F O'Beirne, being in the chair), the balance sheet showing receipts, £74/19/7, expenditure £64/0/10, balance in bank £10/18/9.
The following articles had been forwarded during the past year to the Ballarat depot: 616 pairs of socks, 411 shirts, 2 scarves, 50 pillow slips, 16 towels, 30 handkerchiefs, 1 pair underpants, 12 flannels, 9 pairs mittens, 12 flannelette shirts, 6 pairs, slippers, 5 Balaclava caps, 1 suit pyjamas, 4 pairs of bed socks, and sundry other articles.
The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: President Mrs F O'Beirne; vice-presidents, Mrs W D Nicholls and Mrs O'Sullivan; auditor, Miss Cochrane, secretary and treasurer, Mrs Saunders; assistant secretary, Miss Ivy Morgan.
