PATRIOTIC COMMITTEE
A meeting of the patriotic committee was held in the Shire Hall on Thursday evening; C T Kennedy presiding. The collectors' report showed that £10 9s 6d had been collected for the month of June. It was decided to allot half to the Red Cross funds and half to the Belgian Relief. £82 has up to the present gone through the committee's hands. The ladies have agreed to arrange for a collection of old linen, and a box for these articles will be left at Miss Nicholl's fruit shop, Sussex street.
